I recently met with the team at the Whitekirk Hill Leisure facilities between North Berwick and Dunbar. It was great to see the significant work done by the staff and management there to allow them to open their café and restaurant safely on a limited basis, and it was great to see visitors enjoying the gorgeous views over the East Lothian Coast.
It is great to see so many local businesses in East Lothian engaging with the guidelines to make sure businesses in the county can carry on safely. I recognise the frustration that so many feel keen to reopen, and are eager to get going, but as we’ve seen elsewhere in the country: to avoid further widespread lockdowns caution is needed.
I was impressed as the team’s ongoing work at Whitekirk Hill to ensure the guidelines are followed in their Gym and leisure facilities and look forward to visiting again once businesses are able to operate more freely.
