Following the decisions made by East Lothian Council today, I welcome the decisions made regarding the proposed McDonalds Drive-Through and the Care Village outside of North Berwick.
Traffic in that area of Musselburgh is bad enough. I have had messages from constituents as well, expressing concern about the potential noise and extra litter.
I also echo my Council colleagues’ comments on the North Berwick care village – it was the wrong development in the wrong place and practically industrial in size. The future of Care in East Lothian will need to be looked at by all communities, but decisions must be made where possible with the consent of those communities and in the best interests of future residents.
